End of Term and Start of Autumn Term

Summer term ends on Thursday 23 July 2009.  Students will be dismissed by 12.30pm at the latest.
Autumn Term
Students return on Thursday 3 September 2009.  Year 7 report to Luker Hall at 11.15am.  Years 8 - 13 report to tutor rooms at 12.15pm.
Tuesday 1 September and Wednesday 2 September are Staff Training Days.

Swine Flu

Hums Club Time Capsule

Green Roof Challenge

A group of 13 Year 9 students took part in the Willmott Dixon Challenge.  With the new school buildings featuring green roofs, the building contractor set a task for the students to investigate different types of sedum roofs looking into the plug and planted option versus the blanket method.  The students researched design, installation, costs, maintenance, life span, [...]

Library Summer Competition for Staff and Students

A prize will be awarded to a student and a member of staff who send the school  library an interesting photo showing themselves reading a book during the summer holiday.  The photo could be taken in an interesting or unusual place at home or on holiday.  A caption is needed with the photo entries.

The school has become aware that a member of the teaching staff may have swine flu.  This person is at home recovering.  We are monitoring the situation carefully and we are continuing to liaise with West Berkshire Council.
