Mencap Benefits from Year 13 Fundraising
The Reading Half Marathon saw five Year 13 students donning their trainers to raise money for Evers House charity, West Berkshire Mencap. The students have raised over £1,000.
The Reading Half Marathon saw five Year 13 students donning their trainers to raise money for Evers House charity, West Berkshire Mencap. The students have raised over £1,000.
Bananaman took to the streets in Reading for the half marathon. Drama teacher Peter Deam, dressed in character, completed the course in one hour 39 minutes. He has raised £175 for Cancer Research.
The St Bart’s polo team took part in the first senior tournament of the season, the National Senior Schools’ Arena Championship at Longdole Polo Club on 15 March. The team gained second place at the end of an enjoyable day’s play.
Many of the St Bart’s Fives players in Years 7 - 9 took part in the Eton Fives School’s National Championships held at Eton College from 15 - 21 March. A group five Year 13 students in Evers House will be running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 29 March. They are hoping to raise £1,000 for their House charity, West Berkshire Mencap. Anyone wishing to support them can offer sponsorship through the Evers House Heads office.
The Easter Concert takes place on Tuesday 31 March at 7.00pm in Luker Hall. Tickets are available on the door at £4 for adults and £3 for concessions.
There’s a PA Disco for Years 7 and 8 on Friday 20 March from 7.30-9.30pm in Luker Hall. The cost is £3.00 on the door. Refreshments available for sale.
The building contractor, Willmott Dixon, has been working with the school and West Berkshire Council on the pre construction phase of the project.
