Parents’ Association Events

The Parents’ Association is hosting a welcome event for new parents on Wednesday 15 September 2010 at 7.00pm in the Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC). This will be an informal, friendly event which will include brief presentations by the Head Boy and Head Girl about life at St Bart’s.

Ad Lucem Project

Over the summer extensive work continued on the new school buildings. This is an exciting term for the St Bart’s community and we remain on schedule to move over the October half term. The picture shows an aerial photograph taken of the new buildings at the end of July 2010.

Autumn Term 2010

The autumn term begins for all students on Thursday 2 September. Year 7 students report to Luker Hall at 11.15am. Students in Years 8 - 13 report to tutor rooms at 12.15pm. Wednesday 1 September 2010 is a staff training day.

Corn Exchange Showcase

Well over 150 musicians, dancers and actors from St Bart’s and students from George Green’s, our partner school in London, took to the stage at the Corn Exchange on 30 June. Grand Reunion Weekend on 3 and 4 July

St Bart’s looks forward to welcoming around 1,000 visitors to the ONA’s Grand Reunion weekend on 3 and 4 July. Most of the visitors will remember their favourite lessons and the rooms in which they were held at Luker and Wormestall. Investors in Careers Award

St Bart’s is the first state school in West Berkshire to achieve the prestigious Investors in Careers Award in recognition of the high quality of careers education information advice and guidance given to all students. The process of application has taken two years and entailed rigorous assessment including two independent external inspections.

Investigating Academy Status
